Check out current laws that protect animals:
The
Federal Animal Welfare Act is a Federal Law and enforced by the USDA
and APHIS. There are other Animal Protection Laws on the Federal Level.
The
Federal Animal Fighting Prohibition Act was just signed into law in 2007, which makes Animal Fighting a Federal FELONY.
Iowa
State Law also protects animals.
Local
County Ordinance and City Code also has provisions that protect animals.
Marshall County Ordinance provides legislation on the protection of
animals. See Section 6.
The
City of Marshalltown has a Code of Ordinance which applies to animals
