I first met Kris in 4th grade when she moved into my neighborhood and started school at Franklin Elementary. We were 10 years old, and together we were ornery and got into mischief a lot.  At her house on 12th St., we did prank phone calls and other things I don't think Kris would want me to mention. ;)  We even got our moms together and they became friends. Often times we would all go out to Rock Creek and out for ice cream or swimming at Crosby Pool.  We remained friends, albeit not as close until I moved back from California in 1992-1993.  At that time, we were inseparable, and I was very close to her kids, I jokingly called her "Kwis" - We ate at Golden Corral a lot, the potato bar!  When I lived in California, in 2001, Kris wrote me many letters, one of which you see her signature on this page above. In one letter she wrote me, she sent me a poem that was sent to her by her mother Karen.  It described a Guardian Angel whose wings had been tattered and Kris described how it affected her life.  I am thankful to have so many good memories with Kris, and I know she touched the lives of all whom she knew.

For Kris & Kim::::We all go through life with the love of friends and family ::Even though we know they will all leave us eventually.::Never knowing where the future might lead you ::No worries though, there is a future for them too.::Even if they're not in front of you they'll always be in your heart ::No space nor time could tear a love like that apart. ::With that being said my friends you will always be together ::And when the time has come you'll meet there, you will see. ::You know she'll be looking down every now and then ::From a place we like to call heaven, it's where life begins again.::I don't know how long it will be before it is my time ::So I'm letting you know with this little rhyme. ::That she will always be here no matter where you are ::You don't have to reach out to her because she's never that far. ::So don't ever fear because love she will forever send ::And you will be side by side when this life comes to an end.::::::1 Thessalonians 4:13-14:: ::But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, ::concerning those who have fallen asleep, ::lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. ::For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, ::even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.::::Sorry for everyone's loss, I wish that I could have known her better.
