Iowa CARES
to raise funds to provide Central Iowa Fire Departments and EMT's with Animal
Oxygen & Resuscitation Kits The kits cost
approximately $68 each and the I-CARE Sanctuary hopes to raise funds to
donate the kits to Marshall County and surrounding area Fire Departments

Note that many were "not charged" while we believe these
crimes should be taken very seriously. In Iowa it is either an Aggravated
Misdemeanor or Felony to intentionally harm an animal
(excluding livestock who are supposed to be protected by the Federal Animal
Welfare Act), yet these
criminals are merely getting a "slap on the wrist" if
that. We believe Iowa needs to catch up with the rest of the world
who is starting to take animal cruelty very seriously.

consider adopting a pet from our local Animal Rescue League So many dogs
and cats need homes in our area. Won't you please consider adopting a
pet in need? They only want to be loved, a family and warm home with a
nice bed to lay on, a full
belly and someone to care for them.

UPDATE April 14, 2008 - DiDi is attending her first of three
classes in the series, many thanks to the anonymous donor for
the $1500 that made it possible for her to attend. Her
second class will take place this October, In Dubuque; and the
third, this November. Please
note that our Cruelty Investigator will not be certified until
late 2008.

non-profit organization as determined by the IRS as of March 28,
2008.
All donations are tax-deductible as of September 25, 2007.
We need a place to call home
anywhere in Iowa and
are looking for land/farm donations, all completely tax
deductible. Call ASAP if you can help!
We are not yet a licensed Sanctuary
because we do not yet have a Facility.
We must first raise the funds to
build the facility.
Therefore we are unable to take in
any animals at this time. We are also unable to help
find homes for any animals at this time, per the Iowa State
Department of Ag & Land Stewardship.
However, once we raise the funds and
build the facility, we will become a Licensed Shelter.
We have had
some inquiries to farm land donations. If you are interested in
donating farm land to our cause, please call 641.752.6363 ASAP!
If we build
it...
They will come.
We need your help to raise the funds to
purchase farm land and build a Sanctuary for the Animals.
Now that our application
has been received by
the IRS, all donations are tax deductible.
We are currently focused
on some very secluded land between Rhodes and State Center.
Approximately 20 acres.
